I just finished my Choose Your Own Adventure story assignment for class and it blows my mind how impactful computer science is to all teachers. I never would have thought I'd use CS in the classroom as an English teacher but I'm so glad I was shown otherwise! #unietd

I just read Chontelle Bonflingo's article on the benefits of teaching children to code and I couldn't agree more! Coding extends to other areas of thinking (not just technology) which makes it a skill every child should know!

This week in my Educational Technology class we learned about Computer Science and the different ways it can be implemented into the classroom. The most interesting part for me was playing CS games that don't even require any technology! #unietd

The CSTA standards give interesting examples and methods teachers can use to implement Computer Science in their classrooms. I especially like standard 3A-IC-30! #unietd #computerscienceineducation

Schools today have adapted to using technology as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. While the pandemic was a terrible thing, it's good that schools were able to adapt faster than ever before; creating new learning realities for students everywhere! #unietd

Just learned about backward design and universal design for learning (UDL) to utilizie in my future classroom. It's amazing to me how many things teachers have to think about when planning lessons and it makes me that much more grateful towards my own teachers. #unietd
