If you’re the type of fan to lose your mind over a pre season friendly whether it be positive or negative, you need to reevaluate how you watch football
Say what you want, but since 2018 this is statistically the greatest generation we’ve produced since ’66.
Two finals. Two semi-finals. One quarter-final. Five major tournaments.
No trophy yet, but they’ve made us believe again. I’m proud of them, and their time will come.
Too defensive too early. No counter attacking threat and no intense pressing in wide positions cost us. Gordon off and nobody to replace his work rate killed our ability to stop Argentina. Simple but very costly
Harry Kane has accused ITV and other World Cup broadcasters of trying to create division in the England squad as he dismissed the notion of a rift
“When you are playing a game like that and to be asked a question five minutes after the final whistle, and he [Bellingham] didn’t really know what the manager has said, what do you want Jude to say?
“It is easy to try and create this division – it seems like an English mentality, an English thing to do at these major tournaments."

But another semi final, another difficult win but a win regardless. I’d rather a difficult win than an undeserved loss every day of the week, come on England
The only team to play consistently well in this tournament has been France and they are a scary proposition for anyone. I do think Spain have the best chance of stopping them, ahead of England or Argentina. If France get to the final, they win it imo
Growing up quarter finals were seen as the best we could do, we underperformed in group stages and never looked like we could grind out results. Now we are so strong mentally but don’t play amazing, who cares. I know what I prefer
Some strange discourse about the game last night. World Cup quarters are tough no matter who you play and Norway are a proper side. It was a foul on Anderson, it was also a foul on Spence for me, he had control of the ball and you’re taught to get your body in front to protect
@DazzaDavies Don’t understand the discourse around him, he’s arrogant on the pitch and backs it up more often than not. A genuine superstar who delivers consistently and we’re obsessed with tearing him down. Typical
Look, far from an ideal night but people are being way too reactionary, that’s the least unambitious performance since Cape Verde, tuchel got his selection wrong imo and will rectify it, he’s a very good manager so won’t make the same mistake again. World Cup clean sheet, we move
