Andy Weir announced a new novel with "no details yet"
Brother we already know: regular guy gets stuck somewhere impossible, MacGyvers his way out with real science, makes us laugh while we ugly cry, and we all finish it at 3am on a Tuesday.
Take my money.

Digital Sketches releases June 9 on Art Blocks Studio in conjunction with the physical exhibition @office_impart, Mechanical Drawings, a series of large-format generative drawings executed with a plotter using colored pencils. 🧵

Autonomous: Art Before and After the Agent
June 15, 2026 | 10:10 - 10:50 CET
Before "AI agent" became a category, artists were already building systems that acted, generated, and decided without a human hand guiding each move.
From early biometric composites and algorithmic scores to on-chain protocols that execute in live markets, some practitioners have spent decades inside the question of what it means to give a system agency. This panel traces that longer history and asks what it looks like now. As autonomous agents negotiate, transact, and create at scale, and as protocols replace authorial intention with executable code, the conversation turns to those who were working here first: what did autonomy mean then, and what does it demand today?

There are 23 different color palettes in Anticyclone by William Mapan, each one named after an important woman in Mapan's life.
This palette, Camillie, is named after Mapan's partner:
"She continues to inspire me day after day, like a very bright sun."

William Mapan at Art Basel 2026
We are thrilled to be able to present Paysages Plausibles, a solo exhibition by @williamapan at @ArtBasel, Zero 10, June 16 - 21, 2026 in Switzerland.
Paysages Plausibles is an algorithmic exploration of overlapping shapes, textures and digital media layers to create imaginary landscapes using pigments based on the natural world.
Mapan spent nine months of research, a give and take between sketchpad and computer, to develop the algorithm, which will be applied in both digital and physical formats at the exhibition.
At our Zero 10 booth, visitors will be able to view hand-painted oil works, plotter drawings, and a live generator, all based on Mapan's creative algorithmic logic.
Selected outputs may be purchased and plotted live at the booth.
