Assuming that a member of DSA would believe their ability to engage with our democracy hinges on a non-binding poll is a cynical way to perceive our working class.

DSA’s national leadership (the NPC) just voted to overturn our convention & took away rank and file members’ right to vote in an all-member poll on presidential endorsement.

The NPC taking away our members’ right to vote while NYC-DSA members send them ~ $2M per year in dues.

Lobbying the NPC is the antithesis of organizing for power. We have an entire system of elections precisely to resolve when every member presents a differing interpretation of our convention mandates. I fully trust our NPC to lead tomorrow in the absence of a more democratic body
