@ingodwetryst@surrealwhore@giajordan The legal aspect makes total sense. That must be really scary. I'm sorry to hear there's not much solidarity in your area anymore :( it's pretty much untenable to share a space if you can't trust. Here most of us are still very trusting thankfully.
I see a lot of providers on twitter who are upset about spending 100s+ on hotels for every booking. It seems so weird to do it that way, rather than at a dedicated rented flat. Given the amount comments in solidarity about the cost of hotels why don't they get a flat together?
@surrealwhore@giajordan Most people rent hourly from another sex worker rather than get their own place. But those who are financially secure take on the risk.
@surrealwhore@giajordan Hmmm I see! Here the renters rights are such that you can basically just write down any income and they can only verify with references. So you can use anyone for a reference. And rent is extremely high but way less than a hotel for every day of work.
@surrealwhore@giajordan@ingodwetryst It would be a bummer if I had a serious stalker situation but thank god that hasn't happened in 10 years of working. And with a secure building, they can't enter the building or the floor without a key, there are cameras around the building, I feel secure.
@surrealwhore@giajordan@ingodwetryst Also not having to worry about bringing shoes, lingerie, condoms, speaker, etc every time is amazing. I have the lighting how I want, a full kitchen (cooking dates!), no housekeeping visits, my bed doesn't squeak, I know where everything is, the art and decor is personal, etc.
@ingodwetryst@surrealwhore@giajordan Hm interesting. I prefer a building where a key is required to get to my floor. I'd feel so exposed in a house.
Incalls do get shut down of course but I just couldn't stomach the cost of a hotel and I like my place to be homey. Feels like a real date. And no check in times.
@lonelybabyluv Yeah I do, it's the most common situation where I live. I don't know anyone who works out of hotels, but a few work out of their home.
I get it if it's a lack of resources or a newbie but established people are saying this, which is the confusing part.
Regional difference?
@mysteriousheaux I used to host from home, amazing (free). Now I host from a shared incall, which is quite cheap. But if I had to pay upfront for a hotel I would not like that.
Most swers prefer incall because they control the space, but if you prefer outcall you maybe charge for Incall.
@femcelrising Agreed, just because someone seems nice that doesn't mean they will never be dangerous.
But I thought you were saying just by hiring us they are predators. They may or may not be, in my experience. Some are fine, some are annoying AF, some are fun and some are violent.
@surrealwhore Yes, I'm out to all my civ friends, pretty much. And my siblings. The only main people that don't know are my parents.
If my friends didn't like me anymore because of work, I don't want them as friends. And I don't like lying to people I care about.
