The draw for the FA Cup and FA Vase has been drawn - with two home ties for @Horbury_TownFC

@golcarunitedafc are the visitors in the Extra Preliminary Round in the FA Cup. Tie will take place on Saturday 8th August, with the winners travelling to 1874 Northwich or Rossington Main on Saturday 22nd August.

In a repeat of last year, @clubthornecoll is our opponents in the FA Vase. The winner will travel to Maghull. Both ties take place on Saturday 15th August and Saturday 12th September respectively.

The first of six pre season friendlies takes place on Thursday at the home of football - Pulse Hire Ltd stadium.

@Horbury_TownFC take on NCEL newcomers, @KinsleyBoysFC , 1945 KO.

The squad consists of six trialists and plenty of last year’s squad who’ll all be looking to make an impression to ensure they’re in the plans of manager Darren Barnes and his back room staff.

To make life easy, all games are priced at £4. U16s free with an accompanying adult. Cash and card accepted around the ground.

We’ve still got a few bits of merchandise if you wish to purchase them at the game. Head down to the pitch side cabin outdoor area if you’re in need of anything. QR codes also available too for anything we don’t have stock of.

𝐀 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐃𝐀𝐘 🤎

Yesterday was a huge, huge success.

Close to 200 showed up for two of our most capped players and 36 individuals took part to grace the turf once more for those guys.

It was fantastic to see all those who have contributed to the successes of the club to date, right back to 2015 and the West Yorkshire Prem days.

The football itself had some great bits of quality, and some not so much..

Bojang took the bragging rights with a 4-2 victory, with all three brothers getting on the scoresheet and Jonno capping it all off at the end.

The opening of the new pitchside bar was a massive, massive success as well. To everyone who graces Horbury with their presence at any game from now, good news - you can get your beers within seconds and not have to walk half a mile..

A great amount raised towards the 26/27 budget for the club which is brilliant too. The more we can raise exposure of Horbury Town one way or the other, the better the club will be for it. More improvements on and off the pitch for sure.

Once again, a huge thanks to everyone who made yesterday exactly what we hoped it would be.

Can’t wait for the next one.. 👀
