@PantsuTaigas @QwertyTrawew @TomFornelli This! It gets glazed over as Illinois just didn't want to spend the money. My understanding is they had tentative deals to retain. Was hoping to get them a little more. Spent big money on offense, then big spenders came in and poached late in the process, leaving ILL scrambling

@HellbenderSTL I'm from the STL area and there are signs all over for UofI, Mizzou, SLU, Lindenwood, SIUE and more. It's such a stark contrast.

@HellbenderSTL I get that, but there's no billboards or anything coming to or leaving town. My mother in law said she had no idea there was a big university in Springfield, and she used to visit her aunt there every year, until my son enrolled.

@HellbenderSTL Is it me or is the city and surrounding area kind of disconnected from the university? Seems like once you get out of campus, nobody even knows the school exists. No signs, no banners, very little merch

@HellbenderSTL Yeah that was annoying trying to figure out where to go at first, but overall I enjoyed the openness of the stadium. Hoping to catch at least one more game this season. A net is needed for the north field goals.

@WIVCFootball Oh I know. Im all in favor of it. The WIVC has 4 teams hitting these rankings. But because it's a NUIC label on it, your not supposed to hype our kids or some dumb ish.

@wischlist Illinois getting pushed around was not what I expected. Still finding ways to lead, but it's not pretty. Hopefully this D can settle in as the season goes. Need to play faster and more aggressive

@WIVCFootball I get that. I've never had the chance to see them play, so they are almost a mysterious figure to me. It's truly incredible what they are doing, especially at the 1A level, where a down class or two can really have a dramatic fall off.
