Hot take: I actually like when people bring up how they relate to my situation. I don’t assume they’re trying to steal the spotlight or one-up me. I see it as a person trying to help however they can by connecting & being vulnerable w me, as we should if we want community
people NEED to get out of their small, close-minded towns & educate themselves beyond what they were taught growing up… it’s okay to have your own views and opinions. it’s okay to change.
If you are okay with having Muslim, Jewish and Hindu students sit through a Christian prayer in public school, and not okay with having Christian students sit through a Muslim, Jewish or Hindu prayer, then it’s NOT religious freedom- it’s religious oppression.
I've seen hundreds of tweets about telling women to stop having sex if they don't want to get pregnant but I've seen zero calls for men to become celibate. It will never cease to amaze me how little men are blamed for getting someone pregnant. This is about control and patriarchy
