As a teacher, you’re sometimes privileged to witness life moments. I saw a girl approach a boy to ask if he wanted her number.
He paused, then pulled out his phone. Utter joy on the girl’s face.
I then confiscated the phone as it’s against rules to have it out in the corridor.
The plan? We give everyone on the platform verified status for $8, leading to millions in advertising contracts being lost.
But we get to keep all of the $200 we gain from new verified accounts.
With NYC's salary law now in place, I've been looking at some companies' salary ranges, & I can already see that the "good faith" part of the law is going to be tested.
A salary range of $50,000 to $145,000 is deeply unserious. (This is the New York Post Tech Reporter role, btw)
