On 13th November our young people attended a lovely evening hosted by the National Children's Bureau! The young people explored what an ideal mental health system looks like to them. Lots of thought provoking discussions and important points raised - a great night all round! 🙌📣
We were very lucky this week to have a visit from Kaana Johnston who brought along two of her books to read to us. One story was called the Cat and the Gecko 🦎 and the other was Annie the Alpaca 🦙 Everyone loved listening to the story and thanks to Lorraine for signing 🤟🏾
I love reading to my kids. Children that are read to more often have improved language and listening skills, experience stronger emotional connections to their loved ones, and gain a lifelong love of reading.
This Sunday in @TheMACBelfast I’ll be reading amazing stories. Come!
2/2...the Rosstulla group were enjoying the lovely sunshine too much to come in for a photo but the Jordanstown group were happy to stay. Thank you to both schools! #VolunteersWeek#CelebrateAndInspire#VolunteersWeek2023
