Evo princess certainly deserved a buff after an underwhelming release, but now… it’s lowkey crazy strong. Usage rates aren’t high, but I think eventually people will see how good it is. The mighty miner (top 5 card) log bait deck with evo princess is sneaky broken.
I don’t understand why they continuously buff the most brainrot of Beatdown and bridge spam when we FINALLY get a season. The most skilled form of bridge spam is classic pekka. For Beatdown it’s a bit complex but doesn’t include RUNE, EDRAGS, VOID. Experiment with different cards
These past balance changes were great. But, do we think they reworked/added too much to the game at once? Almost a week in and the meta still doesn’t feel finalized. Playing ladder is just who can fit the most broken cards into a deck… very hard to play and enjoy but we’ll see
As much as I love Beatdown and bridge spam players, I can’t seriously back us up when our best seasons are filled with brainrot. It’s not our fault since we don’t control balances… but we have to see the cycle player perspective. Rune, void, edrag, GM, pekka GG, 3M ALL brainrot
I initially thought evo ebarbs were strong but balanced. After more thought they are worthy of a nerf. However, they are FAR better in bridge spam than golem. In golem chef they are underwhelming. Also, most broken ever? Heavy decks get one thing then everyone cries. Typical.
Evo Ebarbs are the most broken Evo I've ever seen. Not only do they have spears that one shot spirits, they RAGE THEMSELVES AS WELL. AND THEY ARE 1 CYCLE EVOS. WHO TF SAID YES TO THIS
@CloneLovesMusky I feel they’ll go with one or the other. I know people are hating the ebarbs right now, but you don’t want to immediately kill a card when it’s been bad for some years. The other thing to consider is there have been evos that have been just as broken that lasted for months.
@ChopsCR I agree that evo ghost doesn’t need any more nerfs. People just don’t see how broken giant skelly & hero wizard are. I wouldn’t mind leaving evo battle ram be, but the wizard is simply a bailout. Giant skelly too. Overcommit then bomb saves them. No punishment for poor gameplay.
This deck will ruin the game & it’s not because of evo ebarbs. This deck has quietly been boosted for 6 months. Zappies are op & need another nerf. Hero wizard is broken but ignored because of usage rates. Evo battle ram is a top 5 evo. This deck should’ve been nerfed MONTHS AGO.
@ocglaucon I think bridge spam can be very skilled as well. But it’s something about how tanky/heavy it is right now like you said that’s really broken. I wish they would’ve killed giant skelly bridge spam all the way and focused on making pekka good again. It’s been awhile.
Also, giant skelly usage rates going down a bit fooled people. Let’s keep in mind that they nerfed tower death bomb damage and buffed the death bomb damage on troops, when that was the most broken part of the giant skelly to begin with. This card is still insanely strong.
Uhhhh hog rider galore? lol past 5 games 4 hogs, 3 hog eq. At least people are starting to see how broken mighty miner is. I’ve been saying it for several months, but my takes are bad right?😂✌🏾
@sajjad_alemara I mean that does make sense considering a new card dropped that is primarily a bridge spam and beatdown cart. Ebarbs aren’t nearly as broken as previous evos so I think usage rate could go down a bit.
@Loogbait I think it’s fair to say the recent balance changes cater to beatdown. However, you should keep in mind Beatdown has been the worst deck archetype all year. Last strong beatdown season was giant mini pekka December👍🏽so of course Beatdown has to come back at some point
We should work on being receptive to diversity in CR as a community. Just because YOU don’t like a deck archetype, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t have its shine in the meta ever. Every deck takes skill on top ladder. An archetype becomes a problem when the game caters SOLELY to that.
