I’m finally a real scientist! 😭👨🏻🔬 Huge thanks to @SteveGranger@sarah_kark@mike_yassa and the rest of @YassaLab for all of your guidance and mentorship on this project and in general, I miss you all dearly and wouldn’t be on the path I am without you!
Excited to share our new manuscript on the impact of anxiety on emotional memory performance in a clinically assessed sample.
Thank you @mike_yassa, @sarah_kark, @JorenAdams and many others for your impact and mentorship on the project!

I 💯 relate to this. As someone that outwardly appears high performing, I also find it particularly difficult to express the amount of frustration and loss I feel over that cost and what could have been. Im constantly aware of how difficult ADHD makes meeting my full potential.
It’s my last day with the @YassaLab! What a pleasure the last four years have been. So grateful for all of the one-of-a-kind friends that I met and the environment that enabled me to grow both personally and professionally.
@manuellayassa The assumption of 10 would also alter the value of the prior digit 6. You would have to say it’s 5 hundred thousands to work with the 10 ten thousands.
@manuellayassa I would go with 0 ten thousands or 0.
The logic for 10 ten thousands or 100,000 makes sense, but since it relies on a double digit number and the whole assignment is to break down multi digit numbers that would defeat the purpose.
I am thrilled to welcome @ravenscimaven to the @UCIBioSci Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion! As our new Director of Diversity Initiatives she will be focusing on building strong communities to enhance science learning and teaching (and bringing the fun too!) @UCIrvine
I don’t think we’re honest enough about our lows.
I hit a really rough point last week and was SERIOUSLY considering leaving my program.
I felt like I was constantly falling behind on everything and no matter how hard I tried, nothing I did was enough..

🙏 greatest reviews ever but something is not quite right 🤔
Can we pls normalize women academics being leaders/directors, receiving funding & publishing in high impact journals? I wonder how many male academics have been mistaken as female when lauded for their successes?
