South Cambs MP @ab4scambs voted AGAINST stopping raw sewage being pumped into our rivers.
Hours later he cries out "I care passionately..I am strongly opposed...it is disgusting". Yes, it is. But you don't care enough where it really matters: Your Vote in Parliament #SewageParty
@pippaheylings For Heavens sake why would someone dream of sending this message to anybody. It appears the MP has passed his contempt to his staff. Par for the course it seems.
On the eve of these local elections, to all the women out there who are standing - or wondering if they may next time @5050Parliament@LibDemWomen

Between 10 April and 17 April, there was a rise in cases in South Cambridgeshire
29 new cases [11% more than previous week]
18 cases per 100,000 people
2 deaths in the last month [within 28 days of a positive test for the 4 weeks from 21 March to 17 April]
From what I’ve read on the government’s advice document on this, it seems the the instruction to hold face to face meetings doesn’t apply to parliament. We it seems, are willing to move forward with tech and to be honest safety, but not with the blessing of government. Sad.
Central Govt has ruled out extending the power to have virtual council meetings beyond the 7 May deadline. There are suggestions some councils could revolt, says @HeatheratTheMJ – 'forcing local democracy to stay firmly in the 21st century'.

Would just like to say how privileged I am to have served with Hazel over the last 11 years. Hazel always took time to explain and help with the many various issues around housing. I will miss her, but I wish her and her family the very best in retirement. Thanks Hazel.
Cllr Hazel Smith has retired as district councillor for Milton and Waterbeach at @SouthCambs after 17 dedicated years! It has been a huge privilege to serve alongside her. She has done so much in the last 3 years as Cabinet member for housing.

Would like to add my tribute to Cllr Douglas De Lacey. Douglas has been an exemplary Cllr and a good friend to us all. I shall miss his presence at meetings and I wish him and his family well for the future.
Today was the last @SouthCambs meeting of Cllr Douglas de Lacey, who is standing down. He has been a fantastic independent councillor for Girton. Members of all parties paid tribute to his exemplary work over 13 years, including 3 as Chair. @cllrbridget @Cllr_H_Williams
We were proud to show Her Royal Highness our @GtrCamRecycles eCollect. It’s Cambridgeshire’s first 100% electric bin lorry, based at our shared waste service with @camcitco ♻️
