@JosephAccardo To get a challenging Suzuki to work, you had to run the reaction in the stomach of a frog. We had a collection of frogs for this purpose. I was hesitant to use the frog conditions, but I was also desperate, and woke up while guiltily cutting open a frog to retrieve my product.
My film debut is here! I want to thank @AlexisSMartell for your incredible artistic vision; you're the best (/only) director I've worked with and my incredible costars Vivian, @JosephAccardo, & @alexandrajberl for making coming to set such a delight! https://t.co/wIJry2fiLt
Dreamed that we didnโt have enough space for our rheometer in lab so I had to set it up in my apartment kitchen. Then I dropped the auto sampler?? which I have never observed for a rheometer.
The first paper from our host-guest team in the group is now officially out! Congrats to Anna and all co-authors and thanks to @organomimetic for sharing the awesomeness of carboranes with us. Stay tuned for more host-guest chemistry from @slettengroup https://t.co/qhbIsvEOcN
Catch and release, with visible light: The @kalowlab demonstrates how photoisomerization of azobenzenes translates into reversible changes in equilibrium binding of an adjacent dynamic covalent bond https://t.co/fIEGNPml8N
Check out our work on photo controlling the equilibrium between the boronic acid-ester! The @kalowlab reported this phenomena in 2018 to tune hydrogel mechanics, and @emilyrmcclure , @MartinMosqueraT and I have been working hard to rationalize this chemistry.
