@theGrimWriter I try to write a first chapter for the new book, even if it is really rough. Just to get it down and as a reminder when I get back to it. I also start a notebook for it and jot down anything relevant as I think of it.
@NatashaCL7 I taught for 20 years and have a MEd. I discovered that todays students don't want to be taught. They want to learn. They are active learners. As teachers we help, direct, focus their efforts, but must let let them stumble and fall and learn from it. Let them learn from doing
@A_G_Kirkland ...I don't use wordcount as my measure. It just measures activity. I set my goals on results. Finish my outline by the end of the month. Complete my character's backstories in 3 weeks. Finish a chapter every 2 weeks. Using smaller chunks you get more completions and motivation.
