"Grades are information. Grade inflation distorts the information and degrades the quality of the information,"
This is a very real issue in #OntEd, and it’s harming students and their learning.

@Sflecce You know what would help at the negotiating table? If Education Workers felt they HAD a Minister who FOUGHT for them, who BELIEVED in them, and who actually UNDERSTOOD the job. @Sflecce DO BETTER!
@GeminiTayMC My daughter is really inspired by your role playing in the Hermitcraft and Empires SMPs. She drew this Christmas pic of you holding a little Santa Claus.
02/02/2020 is the only date in our lifetimes — and the 1st since 11/11/1111 — to be palindromic across the World, in whatever date format you choose. #PalindromeDay
If you put some soap or ink on a leaf, you obtain a ink propelled boat, using the Marangoni effect. The ink or the detergent has a lower surface tension than water and its flow provides thrust to push the boat forward https://t.co/Ji4riaueys [gif: https://t.co/yDioEbjPSI]
Dear Students,
Quit worrying about a grade! You would all have good grades anyway if you came to class each day with an attitude of, “what can I learn today to become more successful.” Please learn to learn and stop learning for a grade.
Sincerely,
Teachers Who Love You

@TheTorontoSun@brianlilley If the "average" increase is only 6 students per class, it works out to 24 students or a whole new class which requires significant time to mark and prep for...leaving less time to potentially coach a team or supervise a club.
@TheTorontoSun@brianlilley If it was true that it is one teacher per school, why did 11 teachers at my school get told yesterday there was no position for them next year. A scenario which played out at ALL schools!
@PnPCBC@Puglaas She may have done "nothing" wrong, and may have brought to light a problem in the PMO, but IF she is still with the Liberal Party and hopes to run again, it is time to support both the party, the budget, its agenda, and the PM for the next election, if she cannot do that...resign
Drip. Drip. Drip. We're all familiar with the incessant sound of a leaky faucet shedding drop after annoying drop into the sink below. Three curious researchers explored the generation of the characteristic plink in exquisite detail https://t.co/h1BlTh8IAp
Early success is a terrible teacher. You're essentially being rewarded for a lack of preparation, so when you find yourself in a situation where you must prepare, you can't do it. You don't know how.
