It might be argued as an attempt to expand representation in the enclave by further annexing south of MLK.

But the 7th is the only district with hard borders on three sides. It cannot expand.

To break up representation against community relationships cannot stand.

This proposed map also carves out @MrLegacyJones from the 6th while increasing the size of the 6th District enclave in the East End, an area with stronger community connections to the 7th, but instead split Mosby Court between two reps.

Richmond, I want to inform you that the proposed 2C map chosen by council would draw me out of the 6th district where 3,762 residents voted for me. More concerning is the boundary line was drawn just about around my house/street. It concerns me that council can draw out opponents

@MrLegacyJones @brothermanifest The numbers do not include absenee early votes or absentee mail in voting (10,973 and 3,052 respectively). Those numbers, which are nearly a 3rd of the total yes votes cannot be assigned to particular precincts without speculation. It's why the map doesn't give us the picture.

Also been digging into that vpap map that everyone has been loving on all day. More people in the red 'no' areas voted for the casino than those in the green areas. 13,321 to 11,439.

Maps are too flat to give the full picture.

What broke my heart the most about last night was the fact that there was more stigma than sympathy for the housing insecure and those with addiction. They were denigrated and scapegoated without solutions being presented or a macro analysis of what contributed to their plight.
