@telescopteryx I think this is great and definitely holds up if the new material is not from that region. He seemed to be pointing at the dentary,though, with the keratinized lip/gum structure which makes me think the rictus was a placeholder/speculation. Great thread though!
@ProjectHurts As someone pointed out earlier, as annoying as it may seem, the amount of days between SDCC and Doomsday’s premier would be roughly the amount of days between the first teasers of IW and Endgame so I’d be shocked if they didn’t drop it around 7/25 ish

@DanPalaeon1 But Dan, the Giganotosaurus doesn’t have 7.653421% cartilage between its limbs. This is a known fact and the skeleton must be redone. Jk 😆. You’re one of the standard-setters so people are obviously pumped to see your takes (even if after a bunch of WIPs).
@JusticeDuncan4@TM9380 I think the distinctions you note are very solid. Since we now have femora of both Edmarka and Torvosaurus (Elvis - which may or may not be in your study per the abstract), that distinction is quite striking. Very curious to see how the fossae in the ischia hold up as well.
@DanPalaeon1 Great diagram! I’d think something close to A since Torvosaurus has that dorsal projection on the lacrimal which does not suggest at least as extensive a crest as Monolophosaurus but both might be more synapomorphic than B. What do you think?

@Dinoh555 It does seem like Torvosaurines had proportionally large feet so I wouldn’t be surprised if this is slightly smaller than the Nail Torvosaurine and Dry Mesa tanneri but still huge regardless (maybe ~10.5m)
@AndrejSpiridon4 The Tendaguru tooth and the Kirkwood one have about a 75:25 percent chance of being a Torvosaurine or Carcharodontosaurid with preference to the former due to a dental morphology analysis. The Kirkwood formation also preserves a giant brachiosaurid which lends credence to that
@nadocast I think that would be pressure (F/a) so would likely be some version of a pascal. I do wonder, though, if we could (or do already) use pressure in forecasting more. I think we focus on the CAPE as it’s the mass energy needed to overcome a certain amount of pascals
