Last June, we launched @counterpod with the slogan, “How the right is remaking America.” One year later, it’s time to ask whether the vibe shift is over.

@stephengadubato may just be my YT Music App but the latest podcast ep for Compact stops/goes silent at 57m56s with Matthew talking about Robert's Rules of Order. Is this my app/rss feed or the ep itself doing something weird?
@jm493_au@AlanKohler@abcnews Thanks, thats better than the US EIA 2023 data. So roughly 17% of energy consumption in China is sourced from renewables. And Australia is "currently" sitting at 35%. I'm still dubious about the "renewables" plank of the argument in Alan's article here.
@jm493_au@AlanKohler@abcnews I can only work from retrospectively reported data. If there's a more up-to-date source, then please share. I suppose, implied in Alan's article, is a differentiation between old order renewables like hydro and new order renewables that lobbyists push like solar, wind, etc.
These days, I'm thinking a lot about what makes us human. Local community over national politics. Making physical things. Relationships. Religion.
My latest , about a new Catholic trade school in Steubenville, Ohio, is about all of that. Give it a read.

Bahrain just announced on national TV that Iran hit a water desalination plant with a drone!😳
The plant sustained damage according to Bahraini authorities!
May I remind the mad leaders of the Islamic Republic that targeting GCC water desalination plants is a use of WMD!
