The sea gathered fallen stars
and wore them as its crown.
Silver lights drifted through the waves,
while the night stood silent around.
All evening it whispered to the sky:
"What you lose, I will carry.
What fades from your hands,
I will keep shining below." ๐ซ๐ซ๐ซ
Unfortunately the lady is right, although I disagree with "politically correct" being antonyms. However the "Responsibility" is shared among all "axes" and their respective conspiracies and their affiliated Lebanese people(s)
God save Lebanon
โผ๏ธ This is a post for everyone looking at Lebanon today through the lens of another war, trying to decide what is politically correct to say.
Yes this is not even the moment for long political debates. Not when an entire country is once again paying the price of destruction & human tragedies repeating themselves yet again across Lebanon.
This is simply grief. I am from Southern Lebanon, and watching all of this unfold is devastating. It is grief for a country that always seems to stand one step away from the life it deserved, and for a nation exhausted by decades of rebuilding only to watch everything collapse once more.
But this is not the place or the time for emotions alone. If we allow ourselves to look at this honestly, beyond slogans, beyond ideology, beyond regional calculations, we have to admit that this could have been avoidable.
On October 6, Lebanon was free from Israeli occupation. For 24 years, Lebanon had lived without Israeli occupation on its land. The South had the chance to become prosperous, to build, to invest in its people.
If Lebanon continues to approach every existential moment only through emotion, then we will keep arriving at the same outcome we have had since the founding of the country:
THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDABLE.
#LEBANON
I stitch a sun into the pale window of hours
but darkness settles upon my fingers
like the smell of old smoke.
It awakens remnants of grief
long lost to slumber beneath my skin.
Sometimes dusk descends upon me
on a dreary bright morning
that carries the scent of the night within.
True #Peace begins in a heart that loves. It is witnessed to by lips that speak words of reconciliation. It is reflected in eyes that look upon the world with gentleness and wisdom. Only the strength of truth and love is true strength. Whoever trusts in God understands this proclamation of peace and becomes an instrument of peace, building it with their own hands.
