@jowilliams293 What next, a state enforced bedtime of 9pm for all children ?
The idea of a digital curfew seems ridiculous to me. It’s surely a matter for parents.
@AllisonPearson@petuniasforever Who’d have thought that a Labour Government would now restrict the ability of GPs to refer patients to Consultants?
It doesn’t feel like we have a health service.
@DPJHodges Bang goes any notion of “dignity.”
Typical of Starmer to present today’s Cabinet as a show of support when they weren’t allowed to discuss his leadership - so sneaky and ultimately stupid.
@TheBookshopMan My favourite book of the year is “The Pretender” by Jo Harkin. I haven’t enjoyed a work of historical fiction as much as this since Hilary Mantel.
My joint favourite is Elizabeth Strout’s “Tell Me Everything”. Just so thought provoking and beautifully written.
WIN a one of the biggest books of the year: The Things We Never Say by Elizabeth Strout.
All you need to do is Like, Retweet and tell me your favourite book this year to be in with a chance to win.
Open world wide. Winner picked at random on May 20th at 9am. Good Luck!
Starmer seems to believe Labour were trounced in the elections because voters yearn to see more of him and want more of his hugely popular policies 🤔🧐
Genius 🤦♀️
It's May Day, the opening of the month which in medieval literature is the most magical time of the year - a season for love, fairies, and marvellous dreams https://t.co/0jkjHjJkXd
'When merry and hot is the day,
And away be winter showers,
And every field is full of flowers...'
Tonight is the eve of May Day, an especially magical time of year. It's said that on May Eve in Herefordshire, early in the last century, 'folk used to put trays of moss outside their doors for the fairies to dance upon'.
Starmer’s allies are claiming it has been categorically disproved that he mislead parliament. By my count there are 7 separate provable occasions where he knowingly mislead the House, the country or broke the Ministerial code over Peter Mandelson. I’ll list them in detail later.
'Enfors we us with all our might
To love Seint George, our Lady's knight.'
A medieval English carol to St George, which credits him with helping to bring victory at the Battle of Agincourt: https://t.co/ssUo1bJI0Y
On #StGeorgesDay, here's our stained glass window depicting England's patron saint slaying the dragon.
The window was designed by Hugh Easton and is dedicated to the memory of Westminster citizens killed during the Second World War. It was unveiled by Princess Margaret in 1948.
