TRAVEL ADVISORY: East Region OPP is advising motorists travelling east of Trenton and beyond to be aware of deteriorating road conditions.

Several areas are currently experiencing heavy snowfall and strong winds, creating whiteout conditions on roadways. Visibility is significantly reduced, and surfaces are becoming slippery and icy, leading to unpredictable travel conditions and potential delays.

Motorists are advised to:

For those wondering about the conditions on the 401 in parts eastern Ontario today (Tuesday, Jan 27th).... this is just east of Napanee. Slippery roads, periods of reduced visibility and periods of stop-and-go traffic. Expect some lane or road closures as officers respond to collisions. 401 westbound 401 is closed at County Road 4.
