BREAKING: Court orders PDP, Damagum to conduct party's national convention

A high court in Oyo has ordered the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Umar Damagum, the national chairman, to proceed with the party’s national convention on November 15 in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

A.L. Akintola, the presiding judge, issued the order on Monday following an ex parte application filed by Folahan Malomo Adelabi.

Reading this made me feel a deep sense of gratitude. We live in a country where we can freely worship God.

No group should ever be persecuted for practicing their religion. We don’t have to share the same beliefs in order for us to respect each other.

Numerous countries all around the world are being affected by this horror & it’s dangerous to pretend we don’t notice.

My mum felt better in the hospital when I visited her dressed in NYSC uniform immediately after camp in 2014. Her recovery pace increased. I wasn't her first child but the first graduate she had. I didn't salute her ceremoniously. No video & publication but there was visible joy.

My hot take is that some families have never had a graduate in their homes. NYSC is practically a milestone for the first child to break that pattern. Let them celebrate their small wins. 🥹
