So apparently @Hyundai has no interest in fixing an obvious factory issue with my vehicle, when they chose to do it for others!
Custom Care?
Hey, @Toyota can you do better? Or maybe @Tesla. I bet @elonmusk has more interest in fixing problems than @HMGnewsroom
@Hyundai makes some AMAZING looking care and they drive great. But man, I’ve been so disappointed. I do want to acknowledge that they fixed the engine, but the paint repair is just as expensive.
I even sent an email to the head of customer care for @Hyundai_Global in North America. Never got a response. I thought I was buying a reliable and proven product, but this has not been what I expected.
Well, here we are again. Reaching back out to @HMGnewsroom@Hyundai to hopefully see if they will extend a good faith warranty regarding the paint on my wife’s care. I want to love this car, but it has given us so many issues.
Well….my last call from @Hyundai was on 10/03/25. I was told they would be in touch soon once my dealer had a slot to look at the repair again. Another empty promise from @Hyundai_Global customer “care” I still hope they will give me a good faith warranty.
@Hyundai The extended warranty that was added for select models was up to 100k miles or 10 years. My vehicle falls well within that year range and I still have less than 100k miles. Why is it not included? It obviously has the same issue. I understand it is a different run.
Still waiting on a reply from @Hyundai for almost a month. I just want a clear answer and to appeal this decision to not give me any good faith repair because of a factory issue.
@Hyundai This is not the product that I thought I was buying when I purchased a Hyundai. The great reputation that they had does not seem to be the case anymore. I’ve had the engine need to be replaced, and now the paint. There’s obviously issues from the factory.
@Hyundai Thank you for responding, that’s what has been explained to me before. When I followed up with the question, how do I make an appeal, I have yet to be responded to. How do I appeal this decision and ask for a good faith extension for my vehicle?
Per the extended warranty from @Hyundai the warranty covers some models with more than 36,000 miles and less than 10 years old. My Santa Fe fits this range, just not the “right” production run. Obviously my Santa Fe has an issue. Should Hyundai fix mine?
@Hyundai still isn’t reaching back out from my last message. I saw a Santa Fe in my town yesterday that the whole hood was peeled off. And that wasn’t the only peeling paint I saw! They need to extend good faith to their customers who spent hard earned money on their products!
Not to forget, the paint on the roof is also peeling. Not just the hood. I hope @Hyundai extends the good faith warranty for myself and all the other @Hyundai_Global owners who are experiencing this issue!
