My favourite gaming achievement!
This game changed how I think about games and what they could be. The best game of all time for me and being that good, I will be doing a 2nd 100% run which I may continue later this year to prep for the new dlc
@TheHonoraryZeus I think those I've listed have earned a lot of goodwill from me and other fans of them, people might say I'm mental for CDPR after cyberpunk but the fact they stuck with something that at the time had lost them a mental amount of money and turned it into a GOAT is so respectable
I know one dev I mention here will have people thinking I'm ridiculously biased. But I am only after this year buying AAA level games, day 1, from these studios
CDPR
Naughty dog
Santa Monica
Sucker punch
Warhorse
Larian
Fromsoft
Indie games I'm not counting at all as if they look amazing I'll buy it because it
1. Looks quality
2. Likely a cheaper price
3. Supporting a smaller studio
@CasualGamerDoc Some do, but most unions that start to be formed, like with R* and Bethesda recently, the employees just get laid off who try to start them
We need
- Unions in the gaming industry
- Consumer protection rights
- Physical copies at least at the point of pre order (keeps 3rd party markets open also)
None of this will happen because the cancerous CEOs think the Devs below them and the customers are cattle
FOLKS, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !!
❌ They put microtransactions into single player games.
❌ They laid off thousands of developers because of their own terrible management.
❌ They cut content from games and sold it back to us as „DLC.”
❌ They normalized unfinished games at launch.
❌ They turned early access into an excuse to sell incomplete products.
❌ They made battle passes a standard in full priced games.
❌ They locked cosmetics, skins, and even gameplay features behind paywalls.
❌ They pushed always online requirements for games that don’t need them.
❌ They normalized subscriptions for features that used to be free.
❌ They replaced unlockable content with paid content.
❌ They closed talented studios after a single commercial disappointment.
❌ They chased live service trends instead of creating original experiences and ruined whole generation with this shit
❌ They normalized day-one patches for unfinished products.
❌ They raised game prices while offering less value.
❌ They pushed digital only ecosystems that weaken consumer ownership.
❌ They made physical media less and less relevant.
❌ They shut down games people paid for and made them unplayable.
Fuck this broken industry. Raise your voice. Stand your ground. Fight for your ownership and your consumer rights. If we stay silent today, we’ll have even fewer rights tomorrow.

@KindredBlade They're honestly in for a fucking shock because most won't want cloud gaming, not owning anything we buy, being priced out of a hobby. The consumers are the ones who have put these people in their positions through our money, without us buying, they're fucked
The comments from Strauss Zelnick are truly disgraceful. He and all the big CEOs have successfully ruined something what we enjoy.
What's worse is that they have no regard for us. They don't care as long as we're giving them our money.
Layoffs, expensive consoles, death of physical media. It's a dark, dark period for us.
In the next 10 years it's likely a lot of the hardcore audience of gaming will not buy new hardware and at best buy 2-3 new games a year and that's only for people who get severe fomo.
It's likely the ones who actually love this art form will be priced out of it soon.
Every CEO/talking head defense of killing physical games is such a pathetic attempt at gaslighting
“I mean when you think about it’s GOOD we’re giving you less options! Look at these numbers we’ve heavily skewed to be in our favor!”
@MisterJayRod Wouldn't go with him, needs someone imo who is more stoic and doesn't look like a bodybuilder and if this picture is anything to go off, a lot older 😂
Not a fan of death stranding as a game, but my fucking god does it have an all timer soundtrack, not that I've listened to it all but the first game really does have some bangers
