@joefinney172 I, like a lot that went that day, didn't think there was any coming back for Coleman after what he did at the end of the Barrow game, but fair play to him, he held his hands up that he got it wrong and we've bounced back playing some of the best rugby I've seen us play for years
@joefinney172 I understand why both Hughes (wanted game time and got a three year deal) and Abdull (wanted to be closer to home) both left, but thats a nice chunk of cap space we could be using to fill the gaping hole both left. Just go all out for Lewis Else, gets better every week that lad
The decision to let two of our four halves to leave permentantly and to only replace one of them with Wire's future 6 on loan seems naive now doesn't it, who could have seen that coming?
Head coach Allan Coleman has named his 21-man squad ahead of Sunday's Betfred Championship home fixture against Dewsbury Rams 📋
🚘 Brought to you by @motorpoint Widnes!
Stay off twitter for a few hours and I've come back to Lancashire being embarrassed in the Roses game, Ngumoha's been speaking to Bayern, Leon Hayes isn't in the Widnes squad and Anthony Head's dead. Terrible, terrible Friday this
@user13579246809 I agree, there's a Members Forum tomorrow if I'm not mistaken so you would imagine this would be addressed there. After the high of Sunday we've had Tim Holmes leaving and now this and its only Wednesday
There has to be reason why the board are flat our refusing extra investment but aren't willing to step aside and be bought out. Its concerning it's got to this, we don't want to go bust again but its clear a little bit more money spent would see us in the Top 2 and towards SL
@user13579246809 Its only one side of the story so we don't know everything that is going on behind the scenes but this statement doesn't paint the board in a good light at all
One of the best second halves I've ever seen from Widnes that, couldn't have asked for a better display. Everything we did was quicker and York's B Team couldn't live with us. Rochdale in the Semi's please
Not a lot of quality on show today, Newcastle the better side but Widnes haven't helped themselves. Three times the ball has gone to ground in their 20 costing us any momentum. Taylor isn't a winger, he looks so lost out there, need to swap him and Owens around
Inevitable really, just hope his wages are put back into the club, we're obviously not keeping Hayes for much longer based off Burgess' comments so we need a half of his ilk
Half-back Jordan Abdull has made his loan move to Sheffield Eagles permanent.
It was mutually agreed that with him having agreed to join Sheffield for next season, he would be released to enable him to play regular rugby for the rest of this year.

Best centre in the comp on his day, the size of a back rower with the pace of a winger, just need him to stay injury free as he's vital to a lot of things we do well
Massive hard fought win that today, lovely bit of rugby for the only score in the second half to win it, when we turn it on we're as good as any side in the league, just need to temper when we go for the big play. Awful officiating again though, Jones is a joke of a ref.
@joefinney172 She's one of the worst refs about but she's the RFL refereeing darling so you can't say anything bad about her.
It was the Connell cut out pass that Butt dropped were it started to go downhill
Strange half from Widnes that, carried on from last week for the first half and hour completely in control and then we've thrown it away and gone in behind. Been too scared of Rielly, standing off him far too much, get in his face and stop his legs
I know the watershed doesn't exist online but its obvious why this was post after 9pm, can't be having this filth on people's timelines during tea time. Best try we've scored in a long time
Didn't go today so only listened on the radio but from the sounds of it probably out best performance under Coleman? Edge sounded unstoppable at times, Hayes and Gilmore striking up a good partnership and just hard work all round, couldn't have gone much better
@joefinney172 Sounded like a beauty of a try, mental the difference a quick half has done to the side. I know Hayes is essentially a SL half and I doubt we'd be able to keep him but we've scored 100+ in two games with him, the type of player we need to be temping if we have any SL ambitions
