I am currently working in a high school clinic. You would think that my biggest concern would be COVID right now, and you'd be right... but there is another problem that sits in the shadow of that menace, and it's just as destructive, but no one seems to be noticing...

Thinking you can allow mass evictions & foreclosures in the midst of
a surging deadly virus,
at the beginning of the school year,
heading into cool weather,
without it tanking the whole economy
reflects a logic similar to the asinine phrase “pandemic of the unvaccinated”
After experiencing trauma we feel apologetic for how we show up in the world because of a hijacked nervous system & internal shame. The irony is no one asked our permission before harming us, therefore we do not need permission to show up exactly as we are & heal as we see fit.
the people in your age group who did not experience life altering trauma had an advantage over you. Your brain was focused on surviving whilst they were free to develop and grow. You might feel like you’re behind but it’s because you were doing your best to survive.

He should also thank every tax attorney and politician who helped him decimate Main Street USA with loopholes, financial incentives, and tax breaks his company didn't need or deserve. Small businesses also paid—and paid dearly—for his billionaire cowpoke in space routine.

I’m very concerned for this generation’s ability to resist & defeat renewed efforts to impose Jim Crow b/c they’ve been raised w/ a miseducation about the goals & outcomes of the civil rights & Black power movements & have been so thoroughly indoctrinated into colorblind racism.
People have died from COVID-19 still believing it didn’t exist.
