While reading Jonah 1 this morning. I was considering that those who “run from the call of God” can (even if inadvertently) destroy the lives of others they become connected with.
I’ve spent a lot of time lately reflecting on the multiracial revival on display at NAYC19. The same book of Acts we celebrate for teaching us to repent, be baptized, and be filled with the Holy Ghost in chapter 2 also teaches us God made all nations of men one blood in Acts 17.
In the midst of this pandemic I am reminded that God is NOT confused by any of this. While our schedules and services have changed, our God hasn't. Jesus Christ remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. There will be revival during and after this!
Youth and young adults, remember that it is “Shekinah” Glory, & not “Shhhh Kinda” Glory. We are looking for His divine presence not a substitute where we pretend it’s Him. Love Jesus Christ and seek His face to know Him. He is available to you.
Thank you to so many amazing sacrificial givers out there for making the new all-time SFC record a reality! Thank you for helping us spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
Thanks for your prayers and sacrificial giving during the 2019 SFC Campaign! Today is our call-in and we are trusting God and God’s people for great things! @UPCIYouthMin#SFC19 Praying for all that’s been sown to come back to you multiplied.
My parents don’t pastor, but they sure do preach. Oh, they never draw a text from a platform but they live it daily on the stage of life. They are the example of what makes the call to ministry fulfilling...they are faithful saints. I am blessed! Happy retirement dad!
In the Fall, my kids love picking apples...Every single apple that hangs ripe in the sun is the result of roots extending through the darkness to bring nutrition and stability. That which is visible and desirable always owes credit to hidden resolve. We need deep roots of prayer.
Thank you for all of the calls, txts, emails, and mentions about NAYC19. God has done what only God can! My prayer is that revival continues again this weekend in your local assembly and across your community.
Thank you for the continued prayers as we move closer to North American Youth Congress. Please continue to pray over those involved and for every attendee to receive what the Lord has for them! Less than 20 days away! @UPCIYouthMin
Today I found myself in intercession for my children. Deep into my prayer I became overwhelmed for those youth who have no parent covering them. Please join with me with intercession for this generation!
For years my morning prayers have included Bro. & Sis. (mom) Scott, Retired missionaries to Ecuador & prayer warriors extraordinaire! Of all examples they’ve set for my wife and I, none have been greater than mom Scott finishing the course of life strong. Heaven must be sweeter.
I’m honored to speak at my home this week. I’ve been invited to speak there regularly. It’s most important congregation in world to me. When everyone is here we run around 7 members. We have discipleship/life classes & marriage classes every day. I am a husband. I am a father. 😎
Veteran missionaries are just giants to me. Bro. and Sis. Daniel Scott went to Equador and largely pioneered the work there. Tonight she made another trip ahead of the rest of us. She sees the land of which they told the Equadorians.
Rest well, dear lady! We'll see you soon!
Each morning I try to select a different coffee cup from my travels and pray specially for them. Just a practical little tip that stirs my memories and my prayers for someone who trusted me with their pulpit. #prayerworks

Esther’s obedience to the elder led to an audience with the King. It turned her fear into fasting and her cowardice into courage. Regardless of your role, when the elder speaks, you should listen.
