4. Good People by Patmeena Sabit

It is fantastic for a while, then falls off a (figurative and literal) cliff. The prose is excellent, until it’s not. The story is compelling, until it’s not. There’s a point in the book where it turns from greatness to an unfortunate slog.

3. The Spy Who Came in from the Cold by John Le Carré

Le Carré is masterful in how he simultaneously weaves a fascinating tale while talking geopolitics of the time, all the while zigging when the reader is certain he will zag. An enjoyable read, even 60+ years later.

@shapsio @PhishRivMaya Cincy 03 was the best of times: so many people seeing the band for the first time in years, an incendiary opening trio of tunes, a massive mid S2 Hood and the mystery of the missing Weekapaug. Some may scoff at the Wading encore, but Trey is so good and emotive.
