@hardwarecanucks Would like to see SCUM and Ark, though SCUM is getting updated so fast that I'm not sure how doable it currently is for benching. Congrats on the million subs, another deserving channel!
@JayzTwoCents Maybe not a big one, but when placing the radiator for an AIO, paying attention to make it so if there are any bubbles in the loop, now or later, they stay in the rad and not the pump. So rad higher than pump, hoses at the bottom of the rad if possible. Testing would be an idea
@Kazuukyy@JayzTwoCents Might depend on what software you use to stream. You can use an Nvidia GPU to run the stream with OBS and grabbing a second GPU for that might be something to look into, and might be cheaper than getting a new platform, research the numbers on each option.
@dado82rm@JayzTwoCents Every system has a bottleneck, the question is if the components are a decent match. Those two do look like a good match for the vast majority, if not all, games. If your going for 120+ fps the 2600x might bottleneck but the 1070 will be the limit everywhere else.
@neccros@JayzTwoCents Depends if you would benefit more from just more cores, or if you'd benefit more from better IPC and core clocks. Then it's what you can afford with your budget. I went back and forth with x299 and x399 last fall and went with x399 for the pcie lanes, core per dollar, good TIM
@NaawbHD @JayzTwoCents What you put on those SSD's will be faster than on an HDD, including your OS if it wasn't on an SSD before, but it's mostly more storage if you already have an SSD.
@JayzTwoCents Best case to get a beast "gaming only" PC with a single GPU, that's portable and durable for travel, but can still keep cool? Talking 1080Ti and 8700k or 2700x
@Isaac_A_Arthur Early congrats on 200k subs Arthur! Your channel is incredibly inspirational, especially your Upward Bound series and the mind-boggling timescales in your Civilizations at the End of Time series. Cheers man!
@hardwarecanucks@ASUS I'm enjoying my Gigabyte X399 Gaming 7. Yeah it's 40 bucks more, about 11 percent more. I didn't like the idea of putting an m.2 vertical off the board. If the Prime will work for anyone looking, I have no reason to say otherwise, just why I didn't consider it
@hardwarecanucks I concur with defect callers here, currently have am s7 edge and have dropped it several times on to "no give" type surfaces. It does have a mark, but if it was a stereotypical iPhone, I'd have gone through 3 now. Let alone what my s5 went through and it doesn't have a mark
@bitwitkyle Laptop, even though it's a 8lb, 17in, 2in thick beast, it goes everywhere with me, and always as a carry on when on a plane. Sometimes I even buckle it in in the truck when driving... (whole backpack, not just laptop)
