Dan was consistently the first face I would see in the morning after an overnight shift, and he was such a joy to have conversations with, sometimes ones that would cut us a little close to being on air.
Rest easy, Dan. Calgary surely will miss the voice, and the man behind it.
It is with great sadness the Calgary Stampeders learn of the passing of Dan Carson, who was public-address announcer at the Red and White’s home games for the past 31 years.
He will be sadly missed and the Stampeders organization offers its heartfelt condolences to Dan’s family and his many friends.

And the crowd has been absolutely electric. Constantly engaged, chanting for John Fisher to sell the team and trying to remind everyone that Oakland losing baseball is a genuinely bad thing for the sport.
As we say goodbye to winter, it would be wrong to not take one last look back and celebrate how successful of a year it was for on-hill events here at WinSport.
