Volleyball was defeated today by Mt. Paran. These girls had a phenomenal season. Region Champs 🏆 Hosted the 1st - 3rd rounds of the playoffs and made the Final Four. They were the only public school to make the Final Four in AA. Congrats on a great season! 😈🔱💙🤍🖤
On this day in 1975, Bruce Springsteen began a series of shows at The Roxy in Los Angeles, where he earned adulation from many celebrities and a glowing review in the L.A. Times. This led to cover stories on Springsteen in both Time and Newsweek a week later.

In 1991, George W. Bush shared a Valentine's Day card with Ranger, while Millie awaited patiently on the right.
A year later, he would write a memo to the White House staff, asking them to "take a formal 'pledge' that reads as follows: 'WE AGREE NOT TO FEED RANGER. WE WILL NOT GIVE HIM BISCUITS. WE WILL NOT GIVE HIM FOOD OF ANY KIND.'"
He goes on to write, "I will, of course, report on Ranger's fight against obesity. Right now he looks like a blimp, a nice friendly appealing blimp, but a blimp."
A few years later, after Ranger's death, George H.W. Bush wrote a letter to a puppy named Griffin. Here's an excerpt from that letter:
"I hear that you are a great puppy. I had a puppy once named Ranger. He made me very happy. He made me laugh a lot. He was a very fast dog and he could run like the wind through the woods at Camp David.
Everyone at the White House loved Ranger. He was so fast he could catch squirrels when they were running their fastest. He never did catch a rabbit, but he tried hard to do that.
When we went back to Texas, Ranger died. I cried for two days. I cried because I loved him and knew I'd miss him; for he made me the happiest dog owner in the world. I know that when you are an old guy, you aren't supposed to cry, but I did..."
