“I can forgive a man for a bad sermon... as long as he gives me some glimpse of the majesty and the glory of God, the love of Christ my Saviour, and the magnificence of the Gospel.”
- Martyn Lloyd-Jones
"Behold, a king will reign in righteousness, and princes will rule in justice." Isaiah 32:1
The King is Jesus. The "princes" are the apostles and the saints (see 1 Cor. 6:2). This reign is inevitable and should be previewable by our lives of faith.
"'Like birds hovering, so the LORD of hosts will protect Jerusalem; he will protect and deliver it; he will spare and rescue it.' Turn to him from whom people have deeply revolted, O children of Israel." Isaiah 31:5-6
Moments ago, Israel launched Operation “Rising Lion”, a targeted military operation to roll back the Iranian threat to Israel's very survival.
This operation will continue for as many days as it takes to remove this threat.

Statement by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:
Security source in dramatic statement: Chances are increasing that the entire Iranian General Staff, including the Iranian Chief of Staff, and senior nuclear scientists were eliminated in the opening blow.
BREAKING:
Netanyahu releases a statement:
“We struck at the heart of Iran’s nuclear enrichment program and nuclear weaponization efforts.
We targeted Iran’s main enrichment facility in Natanz.
We also targeted leading Iranian nuclear scientists working on the bomb, as well as the core of Iran’s ballistic missile program”
"And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher. And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, 'This is the way, walk in it,' when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. Then you will defile your carved idols overlaid with silver and your gold-plated metal images. You shall scatter them as unclean things. You will say to them, "Be gone!" Isaiah 30:20-22
I keep telling myself that the secret to losing my grip on the idols of this world is to be gripped by Christ and His Word. It's not about my performance skills but my listening skills. Am I listening to "the Teacher" today? Holy Spirit, help me to hear.
Honoring God with Our Bodies https://t.co/64ZdHIzpFR via @Tabletalk
This is a nice article calling us to stand without apology for the Christian sexual ethic in contrast to the incoherent sexuality of our day.
All sex outside of one man and one woman in marriage is a sin against the Creator and destructive to human beings as image bearers of the Creator. Sexual sin, as defined by Scripture, damns and destroys.
Jesus came to save us from wrath in eternity and bondage in this life. He came to deliver sinners (John 10:9-11). There is no bondage Jesus cannot break. Thus, we can call sin evil without giving hope for the sinner. All Christians personally know the beauty of forgiveness and growing freedom in Christ.
"In that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book, and out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see. The meek shall obtain fresh joy in the LORD, and the poor among mankind shall exult in the Holy One of Israel." Isaiah 29:18-19
In the context of judgment, there is the promise of salvation. This is usually the case. It is also usually the case that when salvation is promised, judgment is also promised. The one who is saved is humble and repents; the one who is judged is proud and rebels.
N.T. Wright Just Disqualified Himself As A Christian Leader https://t.co/VpjBuuA1xa
"I'm not qualified to know where to draw the line," N.T. Wright says about abortion. Thus, he's not qualified to be a Christian theologian. Walsh is right and N.T. is Wrong.
"For the bed is too short to stretch oeself on,
and the covering too narrow to wrap oneself in."
Isaiah 28:20
This idiom is directed at the rulers of Jerusalem, who had formed foreign alliances out of fear and based on lies. When we base our lives on fear and lies, there is no rest and no warmth.
"In that day the LORD with his hard and great and strong sword will punish Leviathan and fleeing serpent, Leviathan the twisting serpent, and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea." Isaiah 27:1
One of five passages in which Leviathan is brought up (Job 3:8; Job 41:1; Psalm 74:14; 104:26). What is it? Like the dragon, which can symbolize an evil ruler and in Revelation 12 represents Satan, the serpent, Leviathan likely represents seemingly unstoppable evil leaders and demons.
From Isaiah's prophecies to the apocalypse, we are taught there is no force (in the spiritual realm or the historical realm) that can stop God and His power to overthrow evil and to save His people.
