Some members of the billionaire Glazer family have been debating whether to sell their stake in Manchester United FC, after more than 20 years of ownership that has often been blighted by fan protest https://t.co/yn8zjFzVG5
@SteveMascord It’s needs to be, but the clubs who are producing youth talent need then to be able to get more dispensation when it comes to salary cap space. That should be the incentive.
The more you produce the more you should be allowed to spend on bringing star players in.
@SteveMascord I’d hope that the clubs at the bottom would invest the money into their overall structure & set ups to produce their own talent rather than using it for buying power.
The better the production lines, the more sustainable the future will be.
All clubs have to invest in it.
@johnnyddavidson Absolutely it has, which is why the argument against NRL involvement on those terms is ridiculous.
Players are always going to want to move/progress to the NRL so as Super League we may as well accept the money and hope that they can help grow the game and player pool.

The problem starts in the education system but then there is far to much of a safety net in the benefits system to people can rely on and not work.
Reduce benefits and it will force people to look for work and actually be committed to finding a job.
Excl - Alan Milburn reveals his report finds govt spends TWENTY FIVE times as much on benefits for young people as helping them find work - tells us it’s ‘shameful’
@GavWilson@SuperLeague As much as it pains me being a United fan I think the Etihad is now a better fit for the Grand Final.
Less capacity would equal a better atmosphere and the opportunity to have a “Finals Day” across the campus is something that should be looked at.
It shows how incompetent the officiating is in the premier league when they can’t even make the right decision after watching it again from three different angles.
@IanHORROCKS1@wiganrugbyfans If a player gets injured before the start of the season and it’s a season ending injury then he isn’t counted on the salary cap.
@brianjsmith195 He ref who didn’t give the decision in the first place? Yeah 👍
The SPL have got the showpiece they wanted at the weekend even if it has made a national mockery of the league in the process.
