A brilliant way to end the evening after another busy day of supporting families.
Always helps to break the ice when working with young people who are into there games!
A week that has consisted so far of Family Group Conference, Therapeutic Timeline Work, 2 Hour Parenting Sessions, Trauma Informed Practice and much much more.
I am absolutely ruined but the results for the families has been on another level.
I love this game.
None Verbal Work with Children and Young people is nothing short of fascinating.
Never ceases to amaze me how unique and different every young person (and every human) actually are.
Started Dictating my case notes yesterday after receiving a new laptop. Despite being yonks behind everyone else in discovering this I have genuinely been like a caveman discovering fire.

Every positive outcome you make in this game of working with children and families, even the tiniest little ones make all the hardships and frustrations at times so worth it.
There truly is no better feeling knowing you have made a genuine visible difference to a childโs life.
When a 10 year old young person tells you she prefers reading to phones and computer games ๐ฅบ felt like Iโd waited years to hear that - there is hope!
Ever so slightly contradictory to my last post but:
Make sure to look after yourself also! Burnout and Internalisation of trauma is real and can be detrimental to your dreams, goals and work life balance
Itโs ok to take a day or more for you to reset.
Busy week at work with new families and new challenges.

Encourage kids to work as hard as they can and do there best but let kids be kids!
