The Storm Prediction Center has upped our severe weather risk for this afternoon and evening. A level 2 is now in place along and south of the I-85 corridor. This includes the core of Metro Atlanta, and cities like LaGrange, Newnan, Griffin, McDonough, Monticello, Jackson, Eatonton, Covington, Conyers, Lawrenceville, Snellville, Winder, Athens, Madison, and Commerce, among others.

The primary concern is for spin-up, brief tornadoes this afternoon and evening. Timing: 3 PM- Midnight.
