Amazon Brand Registry tip: you may not need to wait for your final trademark registration.
In some cases a pending application is enough to enroll. Once in, you get brand search and the violation reporting tools, which makes finding copied listings much faster.
@Blessing_UIUX Adding your name is smart. Also keep the dated original file, then report the repost with both links side by side. Copyright covers your actual video and caption, so a direct report usually moves fastest. Which platform was it on?
@unkyndled Screenshot the Kofi page first, then report it through their copyright form with links to your originals. AI altered copies of your art can still be reported as infringement. Dated originals make the report stick. Is the page still live?
@_kaushalshah Before Q4 volume hits, check who else is selling on your listings. Hijackers and copycats show up when sales spike, and a test buy plus a Brand Registry report is fast. Did lookalikes appear on yours last Q4?
@sameartsame@Etsy Sales spikes trip fraud filters on new shops all the time. Ask Etsy for a case review and attach order history, supplier or production proof and your launch marketing posts. Dated proof moves a human reviewer fastest. Was it a drop launch?
@Drumslinger@OralBuk@eBay Escalating past the bot is the right call. Send eBay the original listing URL, your proof of authenticity and the exact policy it breaks, then ask for a human review in writing. Is it your own brand being copied?
@AustinPullen2 Nice collection. Keep dated originals of every design and post watermarked previews. Etsy art gets lifted onto Temu and Shein listings, and dated files make a takedown report much faster. Has anyone copied yours yet?
@growwithinsydz Add one more item: lock down your listings before the sale. Hijackers and copycats pile onto fast moving ASINs during big events. Screenshot your listings and photos today so you can prove what was yours. Do you track who else is on yours?
The counterfeits you can't spot are the real cost. Buyers blame the brand when the fake arrives on bad paper, so a brand owner has to police the listing, not just the product. https://t.co/lMrNaMoHpl
I buy dozens of things from Amazon a week and I can't remember the last time that I got a counterfeit product (maybe I couldn't tell? But then at that point does it really matter?). Actually I can remember. I bought a Tintin anthology and it came on really crappy paper but then I googled it and it turned out the publisher was just using worse stock and everyone was having the same problem.
@nicsginthings Print on demand is a low risk way to test it. Keep dated originals of every design, and register your best sellers with the Copyright Office. It makes copycats far easier to shut down. Which service are you eyeing?
@EthicalSkeptic Good move. Save the listing URL and dated screenshots of your originals next to it. If they used your actual artwork or photos, a copyright report to Amazon often lands faster than a counterfeit one. Was it your images?
For brands making with a factory, own the design files and register the mark before launch. Copycats appear within months of a product working, and a registered mark makes takedowns on marketplaces far quicker. https://t.co/vkKoXtlK4D
I’m almost at 40K followers, but I’ve never really told you what we actually do at our factory.
We help brands build appliances in India.
You can come to us with:
- Your own design → we manufacture it (OEM)
- An imported product → we make it in India
- No design → we develop it for you (ODM)
- A proven product → we put your brand on it (Private Label)
- Handle moulding, tooling, assembly & testing
We handle the engineering, tooling, prototyping, production and certifications.
And you keep your brand and IP.

@natsukiesdarlin Style alone is hard to claim, but copied specific designs are different. Put your dated original beside their version and mark the matching details. That side by side is what a platform reviewer needs to act.
@Sigida_plushies Handmade work like this gets its photos lifted a lot. Keep your original shoot files with timestamps. If a copy appears, Etsy takes a copyright report on your actual photos, and that proof settles it fast.
@FelixAmazonCat Strong month. At that volume a hijacker or lookalike on your listing shows up as a quiet Buy Box drop before anyone notices. Do you check seller counts on your top ASINs weekly going into Q4?
@Flippin4Gold The extra clicks hurt most on listing fixes. Keep a bookmark list of the direct URLs for Brand Registry, Report a Violation and account health so the new UI is one click again. Which action got worst?
@EthicalSkeptic Worth adding: if the listing uses a brand's name or logo, report it under trademark too, not only plagiarism. Brands get a faster response than anonymous reporters. Save the listing URL first, sellers delete fast.
@reign_is_moody Screenshot the collection pages with URLs and dates now, next to your original posts. Your dated originals are the proof. Copyright claim to the platform hosting it, plus the payment processor. Is it on their own site or a marketplace?
Dupe tactic teardown: the keyword ride.
A seller stuffs your brand name into their listing title or backend keywords so shoppers searching for you land on their product.
That is usually a trademark issue, not copyright. Screenshot the search results first.
@TonyGainzzz Agree. Reimbursement claims are only as good as your records: shipment IDs, carton counts, photos at packing. Sellers who document at the dock recover most of it. Do you audit monthly or per shipment?
