Many people have heard of Dogecoin right? Even people who never knew about crypto have probably heard about the famous Doge meme or Elon Musk rambling on about it, or they heard stories of kids becoming millionaires, or at least understand the basic idea behind the token. This insane amount of recognition is so important because it shows the power of how a community can produce a successful crypto coin. Well CATE is a cat meme coin, attempting to build on a similar simple concept: if Dogecoin could become the world's most recognizable dog-themed cryptocurrency, why could there not be an equally recognizable cat-themed version?

The significance of CATE is not found in some complicated technology or a revolutionary new L1 protocol. Its strength is its simplicity. A person who has never heard of CATE can understand it almost immediately: Dogecoin is a dog coin, CATE is a cat coin. In a space where thousands of new tokens compete for attention, being able to explain a project's identity in a single sentence is a massive advantage.

The role of PoorGoat is a really important part of this story. Rather than viewing him simply as a person behind the project, it may be more proper to describe him as a leader. The CT community discussions describe PoorGoat as helping organize and motivate holders during the project's early recovery which in turn paid off massively. PoorGoat is honestly the main character of the project as he is the most followed individual on FOMO and he coordinates many of his actions towards the benefit of CATE coin, if not for him the project may not exist today.

The simplicity of the CATE narrative makes this meme coin cycle easy to communicate to new recruits. A person familiar with Doge does not need to explain in order to give an understanding of what CATE represents. The concept can be communicated almost instantly, which makes the barrier of entry super simple for new community members.

Ansem/Cate Coin Merger Pitch:

My first idea for a Cate/Ansem Merger would be an NFT hub. We could release a limited supply of minted Cat/Bull Digital Art Hybrids

My second idea would be a community Bull post contest, whoever wins has to either receive an airdrop or an NFT

My third idea is a meme generator that allows us to bull post both at the same time

My fourth idea is creating a collaborative Twitter account where we can get Ansem, Poor Goat and others to interview normies on a video call. This would be great content and allow CT veterans see into the minds of the new generation of trading

My fifth idea is a prediction market for friendly competition between the subject of CATE and Ansem

My sixth idea is kind of dumb but a game where you 1v1 someone and you pick a team: Cats Vs Bulls and whoever wins can win that specific coin. For example if team cat wins they receive Cate

My seventh idea is an Ansem and Cate discord merger. We could get so many community members and it would be a very great place to socialize

Since taking over $CATE, I’ve been trying to think of ways to integrate it with $ANSEM in some way.

Given I don’t have supply control and there are no fees on the coin, that’s been pretty tricky.

But the more I thought about it, the more I realized I can’t ignore how I got here in the first place.

For those who don’t know, I ran the OG Ansem coin for about 3 weeks before Ansem ultimately decided to back the coin he has ~60% of today.

When he made that decision, he could’ve left the OG community behind.

He didn’t.

He airdropped the OG community, and I received around $30k worth of $ANSEM at the time.

I believed in Ansem, I believed in the power of his brand, and I never sold.

I publicly held that $30k on @fomo all the way to ~$1.7M and back down to ~$600k. I still haven’t sold and have no real plans to.

That ride is a huge part of how I built my initial following on @fomo, and ultimately part of what put me in the position to take over $CATE and build what we’re building today.

So I’m going to return the favor.

I genuinely don’t care what he does with it. He can sell it, airdrop it to his holders, or hold it to 7 figures.

I’m not doing this expecting a post, support, or anything in return. It’s simply a token of appreciation for something that played a massive role in getting me where I am today.
