Analytical chemistry Ph.D. candidate @UMich | spend my time analyzing RNA modifications and improving peoples’ lives with the delicacy of deep dish pizza
Check it out! A great team of analytical chemists and chemical biologists identifying new mRNA modifications and how they affect translation elongation
*Preprint alert* Together with @TheKennedyLab, @JoshJonesRNA developed the most sensitive LC-MS/MS method to date for quantifying RNA mods. Tyler Smith & @MonikaFranco12 reveal that some of the mods he detects in mRNAs (m1G, m2G, m5U) impact translation.

We have two fully funded postdocs (or staff researchers) openings in RNA modification biochemistry and mass-spec. No specific experience needed, just a love of RNA and the courage to try new things. DM for more info, or to chat if you’re in Boulder. #RNA2022#RNA22@RNASociety
The first publication from my lab was accepted this week! Shout out to the fantastic postdoc @mtardu and 1st year @MichiganChem grad student @Josh_Jones_0501 who worked hard to make it happen.
