Mary
My flesh in terror and fire
Rejoices that the Word
Who utters the world out of nothing,
As a pledge of His word to love her
Against her will, and to turn
Her desperate longing to love,
Should ask to wear me,
From now to their wedding day,
For an engagement ring.

This reminds me of that time another ABC presenter ventured to suggest Jesus was fiction — and received this polite history lesson from two of the nation’s most respected ancient historians.
"Catholic churches and pastors therefore, should be anti-turfy. The catholic pastor doesn’t want to build his own little kingdom. He recognises instead that his church is not the heavenly kingdom, but an outpost or embassy of it. His desire to build and promote Christ’s kingdom."
“…how can there be a universal history - a picture of the whole story that is equally valid in Oxford, Warsaw, Peking, or Madras? … It can happen only if the point of the story has been revealed even before the story has come to its end.” - Newbigin

Officially no idea what is real and what is deep-fake, or shallow-fake, anymore. But like relativism claiming there is no absolute truth (except for the present statement), so I will boldly say, “no idea” however be assured this Tweet is real.
Nothing says cutting edge biblical scholarship like mention of an iPod. But it’s probably the descriptors that do it for me. “Computer based”, “popular”, “small digital device”, up to “5000 musical songs”. Tell me more!
