💔Unfortunately yesterday our family learned that a friend of ours passed away surrounded by her family at home after a faith-filled fight against cancer at the age of 24.
MaryGrace Kerr-Scoggins was always filled with smiles and laughter. In fact, when I met her many years ago through her older siblings, I still remember just how kind and sweet she was—even laughing at my jokes.
Although we were never super close like so many others were, I remember us all sharing laughs, especially when my wife and I had our first child. She took delight in holding and caring for the baby.
On another occasion I remember her and I pulling a little prank on her older sister, and although the older sister was not too thrilled about it, I remember the laughs we had.
One thing my wife and I will always admire about her is that she always had a heart for God all the way through to the end. One particular year at Sukkot (camp), she helped serve others their meal and volunteered with music. She even did mission work in Costa Rica.
Yesterday, after we had learned about this heartbreaking news and on our way home from the grocery store, I was reminded of just how short our lives can be.
My wife brought up a good point during the drive: “While we are healthy, we have many concerns and worries, but when you are ill, you only have one concern, and that’s to be healthy!…
We get so tied up in the hustle and bustle of things that I feel we forget the simplest things to just “live”. Life is so short here on earth when you step back and look at everything.
MaryGrace comes from an amazing large family, so our hearts are heavy for them and her husband as they try to navigate these rough waters.
That said, the passing of MaryGrace has reminded me to hold my family a little closer, not to forget to smile, not to stress over things, and to continue to grow in my beliefs and walk in life.
As a video I watched when writing this, “All you have to decide is what to do with the time, that is given to you. You won’t get to choose how long you’re here. You won't know how many suprises you have left. You don't get to rewind, pause or skip the hard chapters. All you get “Is Now”!
As my family remembers the times we had and what so many of her friends and family had, We just want to say to her family we are blessed to have had the opportunity to have met MaryGrace, and we look forward to seeing her again in the new kingdom.

When one of your good friends owns a business, you support them. My friend @ambergoesoff truly has one of the best self-care businesses there is on the market.
As a dad, husband, and business owner myself, it’s kind of sad I have gone all these years and never once really made sure I took care of myself in this way.
From the magnesium body butter, which helps me get so much better sleep at night (whether I’m home or on the road), to the face cleanser and moisturizer that are needed to wash off the Kansas/Oklahoma dirt, all these products truly have improved our family's self-care routine.
We have all seen such improvements with our faces using @EthystSkincare.
She’s not only an amazing business owner who truly cares about your daily self-care routine, but she’s also truly a friend who has helped us provide a better routine with our family.
Be sure to checkout her products.
You’re honestly missing out. ❤️
Watching my birthday sunset tonight here in southwest Missouri and feeling really blessed.
It’s wild to think I’m already 34 years old, and as I have spent much of today thinking about how fast time has flown by, I wanted to say thank you to you all who have continued to support us and me personally.
See, not many know this, but I’m adopted from Romania. My birth mom ran away from her family in Romania from Sibiu to Bucharest as they wanted to have her get rid of me before I was born.
Instead, my birth mom wanted me to have a chance in life, and she chose my parents, trusting in her faith.
Though I was only an infant at the time when my parents decided to adopt me, today also happens to be the day they not only met me for the first time but also decided to adopt me.
There’s a really special backstory I’ll have to share sometime with you all for those interested, maybe sometime over a live stream.
But nonetheless, I owe a lot to my parents for trusting in their faith to have gone through the adoption process.
Otherwise my life would be completely different, and I likely would have never been here in the USA. It’s just wild to think my life being the journey that it has been this far could have been very different if my parents hadn’t adopted me.
I grew up with my dad in the military, so with that we moved several times, one place being Japan for the first 4 years or so of my life and California for more time of my life before my parents decided to move to the Midwest as my dad was getting close to retirement from the military after 20 years.
There’s so much I could share, from them supporting my aviation career to supporting me through all these years with this business.
But in short, there’s so much to be thankful for, and I feel very blessed.
I’m extremely humbled by the support and love from everyone over all these years, for an incredible team, friends, family, and supporters like you all!
So thank you all for giving me such a wonderful birthday!
Here’s an interesting fact…. This time two years ago, Live Storm Chasers landed an interview with several national and worldwide news companies for our out-of-the-box coverage and tracking with regard to the Chinese spy balloon.
Our team, especially on the Meta platform according to many networks and emails that we received, mentioned that because of our viral coverage and the tools we were using to “track” the balloon, it was brought to their attention.
Because I was tied up, my good friend and team member Matthew Smith took the interview with CNN as one of the opening guests for this topic. Something we’re both really proud of.
Sure, we might not agree with CNN; however, as a business, getting a spotlight to such a large audience like that is something to be proud of.
We worked long nights tracking it from the start of the initial report all the way to its end on the east coast. In fact we were requested by a few networks to “please continue with the coverage” as it was moving through Missouri.
Further, one of our photographers captured one of just the very few clear and viral images of the balloon as a result of following off our reports and tools we were using.
This was the moment I realized Live Storm Chasers could be so much more and why I’m building it to be “The Everything Network”.
We have had great success and feedback when we provide out of the box coverage - given our name - and it hasn’t prevented us from growing further.
We will continue to work and provide coverage for all things weather, aviation, space, rockets, and everything in between.
So if you want to follow along our journey this year, be sure to check us out at @LiveStormChaser
