@tn2sDG @Handerreobh Understand that the hype is driving people to their IG page, but with the Eagle news looming, I feel like announcing a disc would be a disappointment and could result in lower sales of that disc. However, I have 0 marketing experience, so I’m not the best person to ask haha
@ShankedDG @MichaelDue6923 Okay, so are there a new set of requirements in place for transathletes in disc golf? Genuinely curious because I think at a minimum there should be, but it seemed like the original reqs the PDGA rolled out last year were a bit too restrictive (imo).
@ShankedDG @MichaelDue6923 I guess I must have missed something then…did the PDGA roll back their ruling? Or did the DGPT create their own requirements? I know they had the United Series last year, but wasn’t sure if that was rolling into 2024.
@ShankedDG @MichaelDue6923 Didn’t Natalie Ryan not meet the requirements? I feel like using the “tough requirements” as an argument for why it’s fair for transwoman to compete in FPO while also arguing that someone who doesn’t meet the requirements should be able to play is backwards.
@DrewGibsonn The golf YT space is super saturated right now. So many people posting incredible content. Your video is enjoyable, but doesn’t compare to the production quality of channels like Good Good, Peter Finch, Grant Horvat, Rick Shiels, and many more. Golf YouTube is a full time job.
@iamtulo@FDG_trevor I hear you. Tbh my experience with the SF is extremely limited (I bagged a 2022 for a month or two) and eventually just felt like I didn’t need it. My main complaint is just the hype/price of those, especially the older runs. I just don’t get how a disc can go for $1000+
@iamtulo@FDG_trevor I enjoy the overstability of the Firebird. When people say that the Sexton Firebird is a “less overstable Firebird,” I hear “worse Firebird.” If I want something that flips when thrown, I throw a stock Thunderbird, not a $40 disc.
@Skidmarky23@FDG_trevor I see your point, but I think there are other discs on the market that do that and don’t cost $40. It’s not a bad mold, I just don’t think it’s anything special to be worthy of the amount of hype that it gets. Just my opinion, if you like it and it works for you, keep throwing it
@Handerreobh @FDG_trevor I mean it’s fine that we disagree, I didn’t think many people would agree with my take, but I simply don’t think it’s a “fantastic flying disc” and with how much hype it’s received (debatably the most ever by a disc) that puts it in contention for most overrated disc.
@Handerreobh @FDG_trevor But the overstability of a Firebird is what makes it a good disc. The Sexton Firebird is probably the most sought after disc (especially ‘17s). That within itself makes it the most highly rated disc ever. The fact that it’s not as good as a firebird (imo) means it’s overrated.
