@gifford_head It’s important to note as well that the ‘sound’ of the ondes comes mostly from how the instrument facilitates the articulation of volume and pitch. Variances in oscillators and loudspeakers are by-the-by when a good instrument is played well.

Doing some last minute ondes Martenot recording for a cool docu-drama project that a friend of mine is working on.

@gifford_head Oh, yes. For sure! The core tones of the ondes are rather consistent from instrument to instrument, even between different modern luthiers, but there is some variation in the more harmonically complex tones - even from Martenot to Martenot.
