Senior writer/social media @thesefootytimes. Find me in: @guardian_sport, @worldsoccermag, @nplhmag, @wsc_magazine. Sometimes I speak Norwegian. United and TIL.
🇳🇴 Hi Norway and Norwegians, ahead of the game against England tomorrow, I wrote some words on what the game means to me — a devout lover of Norway.
Hope you enjoy it!

@EthanMin96 He clearly has shin splints. They’re horrid and take so long to get over. I had them for most of a season once. Doesn’t help he put on so much muscle mass. Would’ve just exacerbated the problem.
@ChrisofBelper@adamndo88@StretfordPaddck Do you mean apart from the marches, demonstrations and blocking of shops associated with club sponsors to halt trading?
And re: Ratcliffe, are you ignoring the thousands who protested following Ineos’ cost-cutting?
Just trying to work out if you’re being wilfully obstinate.
@ChrisofBelper@adamndo88@StretfordPaddck The Manchester United Supporters' Trust was formed in 1998 to oppose the BSkyB takeover, and they have a solid history of opposing private ownership of the club, including the Glazers. How, exactly, did the supporters of Man United "allow" our club to be sold to anyone?
My first proper @Substack article is out today. What would have happened had England qualified for Euro 2008 (I put a 30 minute timer on myself to keep the length down).
Where does McClaren go post-England, and who takes over the Three Lions? https://t.co/VCYp6iCmbA
There is basically no end in sight for United so long as the Glazers maintain majority ownership of the club. Ineos absolutely no better, either. We can sack another coach (yes, Carrick looks out of his depth) but it will not change anything beyond temporarily.
