Federal authorities arrested a 38-year-old man in Rancho Palos Verdes two days before President Trump’s visit to the area.
Police spotted him walking the grounds, taking photos and videos. A search turned up:

- A loaded magazine with hollow-point rounds
- A loaded pistol and additional magazine in his vehicle
- An AR-style weapon, more ammunition, and notebooks with concerning statements at his home

He faces charges including possession of an unregistered rifle and is being held pending a detention hearing.
