⚠️RANDOM ONE PIECE SBS Q&A⚠️
Reader: Please tell me the name and grade of Fujitora’s sword!!
Oda: Yes, sorry to keep you waiting on this one. It’s one of the Supreme Grade Blades!! It’s called Yakuza Kasen (やくざ火線, Yakuza Firing Line), a shikomizue (cane sword). It is a meito (famed blade) made by Fugetsu Kisaburo of the Wano Country, and it has a straight edge with a sharp kiriha-zukuri* taper.
(T/L Note: Kiriha-zukuri blades are blades that have a ridge line that runs quite close to the edge.)
(via One Piece SBS Volume 109)
Additional Trivia:
—Fujitora’s sword is one of the 12 Supreme Grade Blades, the same rank/grade as:
🔶 Dracule Mihawk’s Yoru
🔶 St. Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro’s Shodai Kitetsu
🔶 Edward Newgate’s (Whitebeard) Murakumogiri
🔶 Gol D. Roger’s Ace
—The Fugetsu Clan are a renowned and formerly powerful family from Wano Country. They ruled over the Kibi region until Kurozumi Orochi’s takeover two decades before the present timeline. Their known members include the former Daimyo, Fugetsu Omusubi, and the swordsmith Fugetsu Kisaburo (the maker of Fujitora’s sword).
#ONEPIECE1165
In the latest chapter (Ch. 1165), after Dragon held his commanding officer at gunpoint and told him to rescue the remaining citizens on God Valley, the commanding officer said, “This isn’t going to end here, Dragon.” (VIZ translation) To this, Dragon replied:
“望む所だ!!” (Nozomu tokoro da!!)
This mirrors what Luffy said back in Chapter 398. In that chapter, he ordered Sogeking to shoot down the World Government flag — and Sogeking did. Afterward, Spandam asked Luffy if he was crazy and if he wanted to make the World Government his enemy, to which Luffy responded:
“望むところだァ~~~~~~~~!!!” (Nozomu tokoro daaaaaa!!!)
It’s the exact same phrase, with only one difference: Dragon’s line uses the Kanji for “tokoro” (所), while Luffy’s line uses the hiragana (ところ).
However, in the official English translation by VIZ, the lines weren’t mirrored. In Chapter 398, Luffy’s line was translated as “BRING IT ON!!!” while in Chapter 1165, Dragon’s line was translated as “It better not!”
The translation isn’t necessarily wrong, but VIZ could’ve just reused Luffy’s translated line from Chapter 398 to better emphasize the father-and-son parallel between Dragon and Luffy, and of course, for translation consistency. 🤷

ARCANGEL: "Yo tengo la canción que está por encima de Michael Jackson. Pero, papi, en los tiempos de Michael Jackson no había Spotify. ¿Tú te imaginas si él hubiera tenido Spotify? Michael Jackson vendió 100 millones de copias sin redes sociales. Hoy en día, ningún artista podría lograr eso sin la ayuda de las redes."
