His research was truly remarkable and his legacy will be the forthcoming of his magnificent book on the history of Porter beer. RIP

My best beer of 2022? This stunning recreation of traditional Stock Pale Ale, brewed by Goose Island in cahoots with the brilliant beer guru Ron Pattinson. Bottled in June 2016, it’s texture is magical and it’s flavours are the old gold flavours of a golden age of beer. Thanks..
