There are no "types" of capitalism. What you are describing is not capitalism at all. What you are attributing to Democrats, which applies equally to both Democrats and Republicans, is a mixed economy where the government picks winners and losers through tax exemptions, subsidies, regulations, and backroom deals. This is exactly the problem we face. We have generations of individuals who have no clear idea what capitalism, socialism, statism, and liberty actually are.

Capitalism means the complete separation of state and economics. No tax exemptions for data centers because there are no compulsory taxes at all. Government is limited to its sole legitimate function, protecting individual rights through the military, the police, and the courts, and funded entirely through voluntary means. No politician has the power to grant favors because no politician has the authority to interfere in the economy in the first place. There are no levers of economic control to sell because they do not exist.

What Wisconsin Democrats did is not capitalism transferring wealth upward. It is government transferring privilege to a politically connected industry. That is the opposite of capitalism. It is statism. And you are right that you cannot vote your way out of it, but not for the reason you think. You cannot vote your way out of it because both parties accept the same premise: that the government has the right to control the economy. They only disagree about who gets the favors. The corruption you see is the inevitable result of giving government power over economic activity.

Your solution is socialism, which does not eliminate this corruption. It hands total economic control to the same politicians you just accused of corruption and expects them to act in your interest. Under capitalism, a man gets rich by producing something you voluntarily choose to buy. Under socialism, a man gets power by controlling what you are permitted to produce, purchase, and keep. You are looking at a system where government and business collude and concluding that the answer is more government. That is like diagnosing a poisoning and prescribing a larger dose.

The answer is not to transfer power from one set of hands to another. It is to remove the power entirely. A government that cannot grant economic favors cannot be corrupted by those who seek them. That is capitalism. It has never existed. And every problem you attribute to it is a product of the system that prevented it from existing.
