Everybody has a price. The people collecting rice are taking it because that’s their price right now.

The ones loudly condemning them also have their own price ,maybe a car, a house, fat contracts, or a government appointment. Trust me, most of them would collect too if the offer came in a form they prefer.

Don’t let anyone shame you for surviving. Take what is offered if you need it, but never sell your future. You can collect the rice and still vote wisely.
