How long until GameStop takes a page from Restoration Hardware and changes their stores from these outdated tech museums to experiential marketing activations that show off the latest computer builds, lighting, and gaming furniture?
@michaelrubin@BillSimmons Would you all ever do limited patch cards from players draft suits or memorable game day outfits? @JalenRose red suit cards would be a collectors item today
@darrenrovell ‘24 is too early for him though, will need more grass roots support to get vote out. Could see a successful run in ‘28 and getting a cabinet position in the next administration in the meantime
@Aerocles They’ll lose it at the end. That’s what that sneaky missed XP was for. They make a call back with 5min left in the 4th.
Still want to keep Darnold and trade the #1 though for 3-4 1st rounders
@Dr_Smay21 He chose the wrong QB because he could have had 3 1sts and a 3rd and still have one of those guys. I think JD has had one of the most successful draft records in the league though regardless
@rdkondrat @derek_rafht @RosenZone I love experiential marketing in all forms and they’ve mastered showrooms.
I just think it goes up a level while sitting at the desk working as you’re in town for a week. Or actively using nightstands while you’re sleeping next to them, etc
@rdkondrat @derek_rafht @RosenZone I didn’t see they had launched that!
But they mentioned the 10 rooms there all have bespoke, non RH furniture. Seems like more of a play to elevate the brand and facilitate partnerships with celebrities for big NY based events.
I’m more referring to what West Elm was planning
@mcuban@Jason Use it as a set for a tv series and turn it into a tourist destination for fans of the show. All the sets can be actual operating businesses full of regular background characters
After watching @LupinNetflix why hasn’t any mystery/thriller author/director teamed up with a town to interweave real stores/landmarks into a series and turn it into a tourist destination?
Picture a real life Cabot Cove/Murder She Wrote
@CaliJets AVT, Michael Carter (DB), Sauce, Garret, Jermaine, Breece, Tippman, Izzy. Lots of young depth guys on top of it
Not many GMs have his hit rate.
